Terms of Use
Launch note: These terms are a production-oriented draft. Final liability, dispute, business registration, and school-contract language should be reviewed before public launch.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern use of Insightus Calendar / Insight Us, operated by Insight Us, part of the Insight branch. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Contact: 27christianh@lab.edu.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally able to use the service or have permission from a parent, guardian, school, teacher, or organization. Users under 13 may not self-register. Users under 18 must use the service responsibly and with required permission. School-managed use may require additional terms with the school.
3. The service
The service provides calendar, scheduling, voice input, feeds, public calendar subscriptions, maps links, notes/decks/resource links, import/export, account sync, and related planning tools. Features may change or be unavailable. Calendar suggestions, feed items, travel links, and public calendar imports are informational; users remain responsible for deadlines, travel, safety, and commitments.
4. Accounts
Users must provide accurate account information, protect passwords and recovery methods, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. Supabase authentication, magic links, password reset, and future Google login may be used for account access.
5. User content
Users retain ownership of events, notes, tasks, contacts, links, feed settings, imports, and other content they add. Users grant Insight Us a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and back up this content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. Users are responsible for having permission to store or share information about other people.
6. Acceptable use
Users must not use the service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, exploitative, or security-compromising activity. Users must not upload malware, attempt to bypass access controls, scrape at harmful scale, impersonate others, harass people, or add personal information about others without appropriate permission.
7. Third-party services
Third-party feeds, public calendars, maps, YouTube, publishers, Google, Apple, Supabase, Vercel, and other integrations are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not promise that third-party links, feeds, calendar subscriptions, fixtures, or maps are accurate, complete, or always available.
8. Free service and future paid features
The current app is planned as free. If paid plans or premium features are introduced, clear pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms should be added before charging users.
9. Suspension and termination
Users may stop using the service and delete local data at any time. We may suspend or restrict access to protect users, maintain security, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address violations of these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free scheduling, accurate public feeds, or that every import/export will work with every third-party format.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Insight Us is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China, subject to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in a user’s location. Contact: 27christianh@lab.edu.
